Hats Off To Baseball Card Exchange!

Let me state I am really a small potatoes customer of BBCE. I have however bought from Steve a good number of years and have always been happy with the service.

Over the last several months, through group rips and one off purchases, I have picked up 75 mini wax packs. Given that I now have twelve of them, I thought they would look nice in an actual wax pack box. With a recent purchase, I asked Steve if he had an extra one for sale and, if so, how much it would be. To my great surprise, Steve kindly said he would give me one for free. I found this to be very nice and I really appreciated the gesture especially, again, since I am a rather small customer.

Here are a few photos of the box (it is in awesome shape). My packs are now very happy (and perhaps really Steve had a "nefarious" plan of wanting to encourage me to fill up the box with purchases in the future image)!

Happy packs living in their new home!

The box in its current display. For safety reasons, I keep it in the Batcave guarded by Batman and Robin.

Even Paul Stanley cannot resist pointing out the box! m/

Not surprised at all he would help you with that. Even when I was buying very little from him, Steve has been very cordial and helpful. His customer service has been great from the beginning and he has earned a lot of my business because of that.

    Edited to add: Cool display!

Paul Stanley is pointing to the box because he has a question.

That was a nice gesture! I have a few "empty" boxes that I have some packs in (77 and 80 topps). I really like looking at the packs. Its nice to have those since all my other boxes have BBCE shrink wrap. That's a nice collection you have and the 75 box looks great in there!

Congrats Matt. The box looks real nice in your display. Steve's customer service in the industry is second to none.
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
  • Awesome! Just fill that box up with a few more random packs and you can send it back to Steve to be sealed with shrinkwap to further enhance its value. That free box could get Steve a 5% wrapping fee. Win Win for everyone!

There is a big screen on stage behind Paul. It is one of the photos I took of KISS during a show I saw them at this past summer from the front row, center. m/

I am glad to read many of you got a kick out of this thread. Continuing with that in mind, Gene Simmons approves this message as well!

You do realize anytime you modify and use a KISS image for your own benefit you owe Gene Simmons twenty five cents.

Steve has given me awesome customer service, and I'm just a little small time purchaser too. Because of that I try to do business with BBCE only.

    Later, Paul.

Years ago we did a group rip and I asked Steve if I could purchase one of the empty boxes (1987 OPC Hockey) and he graciously gave it to me free of charge.

Still have that box and love it.
  • Saw kiss and def .leppard a few weeks ago in Des Moines. I did not get the whole kiss thing at all.
