Glendale Coin Club Raffle (10/26/14) - FORUM WINNERS IN FIRST POST - Thanks again to all who support

****UPDATE****
Got home not too long ago from the show earlier today and we had another great show for the club. The show seemed fairly well attended and the dealers and attendees all seemed to enjoy our free hourly silver coin drawings and our gold and silver coin raffle too. I'm happy to once again announce that we had 4 winners from the forum this year!
Forum members won the following:
Glendale Coin Club 55th Anniversary Silver 1 oz. Dan Carr Medal - won by Zug
2013 Silver Eagle NGC MS70 - won by SoCalBigMark
2013 Canada Maple Leaf 1/20 oz. Gold NGC MS69 - won by claychaser
1945 Mexico Dos Pesos Gold ANACS MS66 - won by 1509eric
And of course another forum member won the CU only prize of the copper & silver GCC 55th Anniversary Medal set... the winner was zippcity!
I have already sent the winners a notice by PM, so if you didn't get a message, I'm sorry that you did not win.
Although the big prize didn't go to a forum member this year (it was won by a long time dealer and supporter of our coin club), I'm glad some of the coins went to those of you on the forum who participate in our drawing which really does help out our club for the year. Thanks again and hope everyone had fun with our raffle this year (I know the lucky winners at least had fun!!).
Mike
It is that time of year again! I have posted similar threads in connection with our coin club's annual fundraiser in the past couple of years and forum members have won prizes each time, including one member winning the big prize in 2011 and forum member winning the top two prizes in 2013! You can see my previous years' threads here:

As you may know, I am the current President of the Glendale, CA Coin Club. We put on an annual local coin show and this year it will be in Van Nuys, CA on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Van Nuys Masonic Hall. At the show, our annual Gold & Silver Coin Drawing will be held at 4:00 p.m. The club purchases the gold and silver coins during the year and raffles them off at our show to bring people in to our show and to raise funds for the club. Of course, the gold and silver coins are a significant expense so we must sell a bunch of tickets just to break even, let alone get into the black. For the past three years, our raffle has been successful thanks in part to the many forum members who have supported the club.
Our 2014 raffle is the biggest and best we’ve had. 14 Gold and Silver Coins will be given out in the raffle as follows:
One Ounce Silver Glendale Coin Club 55th Anniversary Medal
One Ounce Silver Glendale Coin Club 55th Anniversary Medal
One Ounce Silver Glendale Coin Club 55th Anniversary Medal
One Ounce Silver Glendale Coin Club 55th Anniversary Medal
One Ounce Silver Glendale Coin Club 55th Anniversary Medal
2013 U.S. Silver Eagle NGC MS70 First Releases
1886 U.S. Morgan Silver Dollar PCGS MS64
1881-S U.S. Morgan Silver Dollar NGC MS64
2013 Canada $1 1/20 Ounce Gold Maple Leaf NGC MS69
2013 Canada $1 1/20 Ounce Gold Maple Leaf NGC MS69
1945-Mo Mexico Dos Pesos Gold ANACS MS66
1994-W U.S. $5 Proof 1/10 Ounce Gold Eagle PCGS PR69DCAM
2000-W U.S. $5 Proof 1/10 Ounce Gold Eagle PCGS PR69DCAM
Top Prize: 1932 U.S. $10 Gold Indian Eagle NGC MS63!!!
Here is quick camera phone pic of the prizes:

As you can see, all of the silver and gold coins this year are certified with the exception of our club medals which were made by Daniel Carr. You may recall that our club offered those medals to forum members on a pre-order basis in the following thread:
Glendale Coin Club 55th Anniversary Medal Thread
The medals have proved to be quite popular and have appreciated somewhat in the aftermarket. I have seen some of the copper medals sell for between $30-$50 and some of the silver medals sell for up to $100 each. In fact, one ANACS certified silver medal recently sold on eBay for $120!
In order to have a chance to win one or more of the above coins, you must buy tickets!! I'm posting them for sale here because you do NOT need to be in attendance to win the coins!!!
Tickets are only $2 each or six (6) tickets for $10. Just think of how cool it will be to tell your friends you bought a gold or silver coin for only $2!!!
Payment by cash, check, money order or PayPal works, whatever works best for you.
This year we’ve also added incentives to buy more tickets and an opportunity to get some of our 2014 Glendale Coin Club 55th Anniversary Medals which were made by Daniel Carr. Accordingly, the following packages are available, but quantities of the medals are limited so it’s first come first served until we run out of the club’s extra medals:
$50.00 for 30 tickets + FREE Copper GCC 55th Anniversary Medal
$150.00 for 90 tickets + FREE Copper & Silver (1 oz.) GCC 55th Anniversary Medals
$3500.00 for 500 tickets + FREE Copper & Silver (1 oz.) & Gold (50 grams) GCC 55th Anniversary Medals
Let me know if you'd like some tickets and I'll fill them out and make sure they get into the drawing. I'll also mail you the ticket stubs upon request (at no charge) if you would like them for your records. I'm making nothing in selling these, just trying to help out the coin club and allow the forum members a chance to have fun and to win it big!
Here is a picture of one of the tickets along with a few of the medals you can get for FREE if you purchase enough tickets:

Additionally, to show my personal appreciation to the forum and to support our club, and because I want to make sure at least one forum member wins something this year too, I will hold my own independent drawing for a set of the Copper & Silver 2014 Glendale Coin Club 55th Anniversary Medals. So at least one forum member is certain to win regardless of how many buy tickets!
The set of Copper & Silver 2014 Glendale Coin Club 55th Anniversary Medals will be awarded to a lucky forum member who purchased raffle tickets through me here (or at a show). Again, this is completely separate from the coin club raffle and I will select the winner of this special forum member only prize by a separate random draw. You'll get one chance in my draw for each coin club raffle ticket purchased. Good luck!
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to participate!
Thanks again for all of your support!
