Who's the football pack & 1978 fun pack expert on the boards? Need help with prices

Hello - im looking at purchasing some unopened football wax packs from the 70s & 80s and need some prices. Anyone who helps will be offered what I decide to sell.

1975 Topps Football wax packs
1976 Topps Football wax packs
1977 Topps Football wax packs
1978 Topps Football wax packs
1979 Topps Football wax pack

1978 Topps Football 3 pack wax tray
1979 Topps Football 3 pack wax

1978 Fun Bag Topps: 6 FB wax packs, 6 78 Hockey wax packs, 18 packs of non sports (Jaws, Battle Star, Close Encounters)

    76 goes for about 175 each
    78 25-28
    79 20-23

    78 Trays ~100
    79 Trays ~ 90

    78 Fun Bag: I think Steve had/has them at 240 and include SW series 4, I'm pretty sure.

    52-90 All Sports, Mostly Topps, Mostly HOF, and some assorted wax.

    I was browsing eBay last week for a 1978 Topps Football unopened wax pack. The average cost of a pack was around $30. I decided to stick to baseball.

    A quick glance at BBCE's website shows that they have:

    1975 wax packs $80
    1977 wax packs $65
    1978 wax packs $28
    1979 wax packs $23

    So let's start with the premise that if you want nice packs there's no reason to pay any more than that for any of those packs as you can get guaranteed authentic ones for these prices.

    eBay is full of deals where you can get packs for less than this. Of course the saying is caveat emptor as it can be a landline of bad packs, resealed packs and the like. With some due diligence there are good packs and boxes out there.

    I have bought 79 wax trays for anywhere between $50-65 on eBay and you can get them pretty easily at $75. They are pretty plentiful so no reason to have to spend too much on those. The 78 trays are much harder to find and I would guess somewhere around $100 or even more would be fair for that packaging.

    I don't know much about pre-77 packs as I haven't been in the market for them but I would say you can get 77 FB wax packs for anywhere around $30-50 easily on eBay (the only question would be their authenticity). 78 packs can probably be had from the high teens to low $20s range. 1979 packs can be had probably in the $15 range or so. Good luck!
