With the major pack we've all been discussing that was listed on eBay, I thought it might be interesting to see
what cello (if it existed, was authenticated and was slabbed) our community members would like to own.
You can pick your top 3. Mine are:
1963 Pete Rose
1967 Tom Seaver
1969 Reggie Jackson
Here's a quick list of candidates off the top of my head of major RCs from each year to jog your thinking:

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
1975 Pepi LePew
1980 Thurman Munson
57 Drysdale
59 Gibson
60 McCovey
But there wasn't really a bad option on that list.
67 Seaver
68 Ryan
but not necessarily in that order.
Mike
'66 Clemente
'67 Seaver
1978 Topps Reggie Jackson
1984 Topps Don Mattingly
My list is obviously not based on value. They are simply the top three that I would really like to own. I may even set a small goal to own them, now that this thread has been created.
1968 Bench
1963 Rose
1967 Seaver
1969 Bench

<< <i>I would like to own a 1960 cello with Yaz RC on top..... For about 1 minute, then I would rip it. Because what good is owning the card if it's all wrapped up like that?? >>

Trying to be somewhat realistic minus the N.Ryan comment. A N.Ryan/Bench '68 combo in a rack pack would be insane but unless you have fancy machinery at home that would never happen.
Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.

Anyone have any knowledge beyond this?

<< <i>Not sure if I have this correct, but I had thought that Topps first produced baseball cellos in 1957 (and racks in 1960).

I know Topps cello go back to 1953. I don't believe they made any in 1952.
Here are a couple 1953 cellos that were sold by Legendary a while back..
And a partial box, also auctioned off by Legendary..
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

I'm not sure, but I think Pepe Le Pew made his debut in '52. Of course, it's never too late for 1952 Christmas Cello's to appear…

Now where have I seen that guy in the middle before?
I'm not big into stars showing on top of cellos for some reason, but I wouldn't mind having a 1976 Topps Walter Payton one. Pretty common compared to some of the others in this thread.
