Would you buy these 79T packs?

I thought it would be interesting to see what you guys think?

These are packs from a box.

I couldn't get the roller marks to show - my camera's cheap. I scanned them so you can see the backs - and a pic of the packs stacked.

I can say for sure that the roller marks are clean and definitively sharp in the proper area.

This box will find its way to BBCEx some day in the future.

They look fine to me, Mike. Nice and bright with no odd wrinkles or creasing and clean seals on back. Corner folds look correct, too~tiny triangles like they should.

I think there is a centered Ozzie in one of the packs so you should get to ripping!image >>

    Thanx Tim

Hiya Robert - Thanx. I've had these boxes since 1992. I'm sure you know where that's going? image

<< <i>Can't blame you for keeping them unopened with prices realized these days.

Great packs and thanks for sharing. >>

As I posted before - all of this stuff is from the early 90s except the tray on top.

The packs look tightly wrapped from your first pic. I say legit.

    Thanks,

Looks like you are a closet 1979 Topps Baseball lover. I knew you wouldn't listen to that troublemaker Robert trying to feed you misinformation about Ozzie lurking in those packs.

    Thanx guys.

I have a theory on good vs bad and SCD.

First, SCD had a very strict rule and if there were enough problems, one could find themselves banned from advertising.

And, very importantly, it was the biggest game in town other than large shows. No internet!

With the advent of the net - it might be easier to turn to the dark side.

Now, do I know this fer sure? Absolutely.....not.

1979 also marked the first year for "super" cello packs. Unlike the 1980 and 1981 versions, these were tightly wrapped like standard 1979 cellos and contained 28 cards vs 18 in a standard cello pack. Please pardon the dust on the lid, lol..

That 1979 super cello box is the rarest of all the late 1970's boxes. You'd have to go back to a full 1974 cello box to find one as rare imo. Other than the dust, beautiful Tim.

You might think of getting a maid service though. image
