Helping a friend - 65 Yankees Team Ball

Unfortunately no pic which I know limits opinions but this is the message I received...

need your help, generally speaking what does a 65 yankee signed team ball go for?...I dont have a picture....assume at least pretty clean with a real Mantle and Maris

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jim

also need to confirm that the ball isn't one of those facsimile signature/souvenir balls which have little value (that's why a picture would help)................

Agreed. Lots more info would help. Does it have a cert? If so, from who? Is there a pic?

Unfortunately, I just got an e-mail with very little info, and haven't received more details....so maybe best to ask as a multiple choice.

I think the eBay listing of 3999 is way too high.

Assuming it's real, legit autos, with a credible cert., Mantle and Maris are clean and on a decent ball would a fair price be:

    -1000
    1000-1500
    1500-2000
    2000+

    Thanks

A Mickey Mantle single-signed baseball, authenticated by PSA or JSA, can easily sell for $1000 from a reputable dealer. Add a Roger Maris autograph to it and it will double in price. Add the rest of the 1965 Yankees team to it and it could command another $1000. If it is being sold by someone out of their basement on eBay, you can easily cut the price in half.

team signed baseballs aren't valued that way

Has the ball been checked out by jsa or psa? If its not, it will be far less.

Team signed balls do not accrue value in respect to the cumulative value or multiplicity of autographs... In some cases, a single signed ball will outsell a multi-signed ball.

I would go as far to say that many times that is the case.
