Your Opinion (PSA 8 '75 Brett RC)

Got this card back, am happy with the grade. Do you think it is a low, average, or above average "8". Bought it from a raw set and subbed. Thanks, Pat The back is nice one tiny black tar mark the size of pinhead. (Note: The little "scuff" mark between the stems of the "A" is a mark on the scanner, not on actual card, same with light white stain left border which is from scanner).

Would be above average, if not for fish eyes. Nice card
  • The card looks like it could have also been an 8.5. I've seen plenty 8.5's with fish eyes. These unfortunately are pretty big and noticeable and I think that they take away from the cards overall beauty which is why they deemed an an 8.

I agree, but to me (and this differs with each person) fish eyes have a negative effect on the way a card looks. I would have to say its a low end 8.

Yeah, I wish the fisheyes weren't there but I would say they look better in "Royals" than on the bold borders....

    Centering 9
    Corners 8.5
    Edges 8.5
Surface 7.5 (Those fisheyes are more distracting than "average" fisheyes)

Super nice 8. Here is my 8.5 for comparison:

The fisheyes don't bother me nearly as much as centering would or other condition defects, especially when they are hidden in the backdrop of the team name. I would personally consider it a higher grade 8 with that centering and those sharp corners. Regisatration is also realy nice.
