That sale is a perfect example of why you can't grade properly just using scans and/or pictures. If that were posted here raw, many of the people on this board would be saying things like "Detail not showing well, maybe AU at best", etc. Of couse, since it is in the NGC holder, you can only assume the coin looks much better in person.image

Always buying music cards of artists I like! PSA or raw! Esp want PSA 10s 1991 Musicards Marx, Elton, Bryan Adams, etc. And 92/93 Country Gold AJ, Clint Black, Tim McGraw PSA 10s
      3. very true jjacks......
You would think if He believed in that coin so strongly, because he has set such a high reserve on it, no one has met it in 7 or 8 tries, that he would send it to pcgs..and get it crossed....makes one wonder.... image

edited had assetsnow and tangables addresses mixed up...my bad.......

        OK.
How Many Times has He had it Up ??
I agree. The Scan Makes it Look to have a Very Weak Strike and 16's Almost Always have Very Strong Strikes. Heck 60 Money Sounds Good to Me.

I don't know if the scan of that '16-D is lousy, or if the coin is really as bad as the scan makes it look. You'd think that someone selling a coin of that caliber would at least have a decent image of it.

JJacks: I'm glad you like my icon well enough to use it. I bought that 1879 quarter back in 1971 for the princely sum of $95. It was in the very first group of coins I had slabbed by PCGS back in '87 or '88. It's an MS65 in a first generation holder, and still one of my favorite coins.

Here's a link to my type set, where you can see a larger version of it.
