What do you think of the Gem Mint 1971 Aaron at auction?

It's not mine - but looks pretty nice.

What do you think? What will it go for?

Do you like the PSA 9 up there better? (not mine either)

What is worse - the centering of the SGC 98 or the print on the PSA 9? Thanks.

For equal money, I'd take the former, but no chance it crosses to PSA as a 10.

i'd take the SGC, but agree it probably won't cross

SGC 98 much nicer, although I hate SGC slabs for '71's.

Print issue on the PSA worse than the centering on the SGC.

    I'll take the SGC.

IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED

The centering on the SGC bothers me and the PD on the PSA bothers me. In this situation I would save a bundle and drop down to a very high-end 8 or 8.5 if one could be found. I have a hard time paying a big price for a 9 unless it looks like a 10. And for me, a 10 must look every bit the part. If the 9 could be had for a good price, then maybe I'd do it, as the centering is lovely and so are the edges and corners. But I would not pay a premium price for either because of the issues that each has. That's just how I shop.

    I prefer the PSA 9.

As an investment that is most likely to increase in value? PSA 9 without a doubt

Strictly eye appeal? SGC 98. Like Matty, I am a centering freak but the print goop on the PSA 9 is too much of an eyesore. To be honest, I'd passs on both and wait for another. The Aaron is a fairly high pop 9, at least in relation to the rest of the set

The SGC card looks a little like the PSA 8.5 Aaron that Probstein sold a while back. I agree that it is worth waiting a little longer... thanks guys.
