I have been wondering for a while about this with 79 Topps. Why is it that most of them have a tilt on the bottom border by the banner?? Even with the other 3 borders being straight that bottom one appears tilted.

So true and so tough to find straight; that bottom slope/tilt has kept me from ever pulling the trigger on an Ozzie. Can't seem to find one without it. This is the closest I've come to a straight bottom...

I believe the banner (and player's name) is printed on a tilt while the player's picture is square. There is more space between the banner and the player's picture where the player's name starts than where it ends.
