Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

<< <i>Off the top of my head- hg3, mintmoondog, paleocards & thunderdan have to be up there. Many others with kick-ass collections as well. >>
I totally agree on Thunderdan. Another collector with some monster cards is eomint.

Pandrews had the right attitude ...
We happen to be fortunate enough to have a diverse community of collectors with varying means to be able to buy cards. And many
of these people are generous enough to share pictures of what they find with the forum so that all can enjoy and appreciate.
While some people have no problem with public exposure, there are others that are a bit more sensitive and could be reluctant to share
pictures or discuss certain things if they read a thread like this (which seems to have a primary purpose of trying create attention where attention may not be wanted/appreciated).
I am not looking to start an argument but I think it might be appropriate in a thread like this to speak for yourself and let others speak for themselves. I think we would all hate to see willingness to share compromised/reduced by concern over unwanted additional exposure that could come from a thread like this.
Of course, if there is some purpose to this thread that I am missing by all means please follow-up my post and help clear up my confusion.

That's OK Dave.
I think many may have misconstrued the OP.
It's Pandrews. By far, the biggest "hitter" ever to grace our fair community.
<< <i>It's not me, but I believe there was an old thread where a board member bought a half million dollar Clemente rookie ? I think I read it in a Dmitri Young thread ? >>
That is eomint that I referenced. I believe he has some other marque cards too.

It's definitely not me. There are guys here that have single cards worth more than my entire collection.
I'm rich in enjoyment, not in $$$.

Oh yeah, I'm saving up for a 1988 Topps rack case.......BOOOOM!
I would agree regarding Bob Lemke and BBCE. Olbermann, Levi, Al Rosen, Dimitri Young, Spence, etc. would qualify if they were/are on the boards. I would understand why dealers may stay off the boards as they may be open to criticism about their business practices.

I have you beat. Back in 1988, I secured a complete unopened factory set of 1988 Donruss, with the seal still on it. These things were like finding needles in a haystack back in the day. Can you imagine how much one would sell for now, if consigned with the right person?

Amazing find indeed! I actually have, believe it or not, 2 complete factory sets of 1988 Score in the original red box with the original cellophane still on it. The factory cellophane! These were not wrapped after the fact. Score seems harder to find IMHO, because of the 4 or 5 different colors of cards in the set. I believe the variance of colors attracted more collectors "back in the day" making these much tougher to acquire now. By no means am I degrading your 1988 Donruss case, as there are many different types of collectors on here that collect many things, I just feel that Score from this era is much more appealing thus making them harder to find in the secondary market. The flimsy cardboard boxes that these sets came in too made these cards much more prone to wear and tear making high grade examples and sets hard to come by.
