Another Unopened Question:

I am debating buying a cellobox or a waxbox of 1981 Topps baseball, both are the same price.

I keep mine displayed unopened, if that makes a difference?

Which would you choose and why:

I might have a different view then some but I would go wax. I've done a lot of ripping and wax has almost always been nicer to me in sharp corners and even centering...just my experience.

81 and 82 cellos share the same outer box for display. The 81 wax box is more distinguishable and looks cool IMO

If its for display I would choose the wax. I think it looks more vintage. An 81 cello looks the same on the outside as an 88 so its hard to get too excited. At least for me.

Wax for display, no doubt. For ripping, I would normally say wax... but for the same price, and with 1981 cellos being much more loosely wrapped than their predecessors... I would probably go cello. You get more cards and have no wax stains to worry about.

I agree with everyone else. Wax boxes display better. As a couple others have mentioned, Topps used the same cello box for a few years. If I remember correctly, the only difference in the 80, 81, 82, 85, 86 and 88 cello outer boxes was the price tag. The 83 and 84 cello boxes are also the same.
