<< <i>I like looking at dead baseball players more than dead Presidents >>

Best quote of the thread so far!
I'm building a 1968 and a 1970 Topps set. I have lots of 1970s and 1960s to offer in trade.
  • So I'm a high roller (in theory) but not a collector (no national).

What next? Something about my mother???

(Insert tongue in cheek emoticon here)

    Peace and love to all
  • money is just one of the many stresses in life that makes visiting this site on a nightly basis an escape from it all. It was correctly stated in a recent post that this site is a great place for collector's of all income levels, ages and other differences to find common ground.

<< <i>Quite impressive indeed how fast some of the high dollar stuff moves. Kudos to everyone in their purchase. I found the title of the thread amusing as well and saw it for what it was (a joke). I don't understand how people's blood boils just be the mere reference of 1%. Control what you can control and don't worry about the finances of someone else. I know many people who are in the top 1% who live paycheck to paycheck and I know many people whose income never exceeded 50k who retire with several million. That being said, the top 1% status is closer to the middle class than the top 0.001% (the super rich) is to 1%. >>

And I was just getting used to being an "Ordinary/Average American" so says the American media in labeling many of us.

I thought someone referenced that somewhere in a post? Did someone actually say that? I have never been to a National but I AM a collector. If that was said, one would think someone would take more offense to that then the 1%er reference???
  • i was quoting my own toungue in cheek response from a separate thread when a toungue in cheek OP listed that in a lessons learned thread...

its all in fun - i take very little of what is said here to heart other than the freindly banter and great knowledge shared...

my BST listings getting little love is a different story...
