I'm in Atlantic city hosting my cousin's bachelor party.
Dinner is over. The group has disbanded to do what they want. I'm in my room trying to catch a second wind. I am on my phone and sitting on my rental porcelain lounge reading the boards.

That's how much I love the boards and this hobby. Gamblers delight awaits me down stairs and I'm sitting here looking through posts...

Sports cards are the best.

    Stay away from the slot machines and you will have more money for Don Mattingly cards.

    I'm watching back to back episodes of L&O: Criminal Intent, LOL..


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    What Casino? If you are at the Borgata, I probably know a bunch of the people in the poker room right now. Wish I was there "Right now".

    I heard Trump Casino is closing down this fall..any truth to that? I heard a couple others have already closed, too. What's going to be left by the time the 2016 National rolls around..

    A LOT of Atlantic City casinos are going bust. Trump is suing to get his name off the casinos that bare it. I think the only really healthy casino down there is the Borgata and its off the strip. The strip is in BIG trouble!!!!

    Slots are actually computer programmed to take your money slowly. There is NOTHING random over the long-run with slot machines!

    I'm actually a craps and blackjack guy. But I like the off hours. I'm setting alarm for 4am and hoping to ride a nice wave I to a free pancake buffet. Tropicana is doing it right. I think 3-4 casinos will prevail and AC will resurge in next 5-7 years. For now it's a decent place for a quick getaway on east coast.
    Sat next to two beautiful blonde cougars from Virginia today at blackjack so the place still has a charm to it.

    In ten more years AC is going to be like it was 40 years ago ... a place to go to in the summer to walk the boardwalk and go to the beach.

    Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    It's almost 1 a.m. here and I just finished watching a fantastic documentary called "The Battered B*stards of Baseball" about Bing Russell's Portland Mavericks. If you haven't seen this, it's on Netflix and I would encourage you to watch it. I knew nothing of these guys until tonight.
