Potentially starting a trade night...your thoughts?

I've been chatting with another guy here locally about starting a trade night once a quarter. Has anyone ever done this or currently doing this that would like to share some advice on what has and has not worked for you?

Also, if you were to attend a trading night, what would you want to see?

Thanks!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

A local card shop does this one Saturday a month. I work Saturdays so I have never been able to go. Sounds like a fun idea though. Let us know how yours turns out.

  • So some of the ideas we've had so far are...

    1. There will be no exchange of money. This is purely trading.
    2. We'll offer a special "bring your kids" night every so often. During this evening, we'll have pizza, free packs, trading opportunities, and some demonstrations on how to take care of your cards.
    3. We'll probably start with an invitation only soft launch. Poll the group, and then do a public launch.

Any thoughts of these or anything else?
