New Price Guide! Is beckett out dated?

Been looking at the COMC price guide and you can be the judge.

2011 Topps Allen & Ginter's #110 Jake McGee COMC SRP $17.50

2010 Topps Chrome #C66 Taylor Price COMC SRP $12.50

I quit looking after just two crazy prices.

All price guides have zero value.

I have a 2 year old Standard Catalog of Vintage BB Cards.

I like it as a general reference - "not" a priceguide.

Printed price guides are no longer viable in today's marketplace. I use my 2011 Standard Catalog as a checklist resource only. True market value is set by AHs, VCP and completed eBay items.

When I see someone using a Beckett to determine their cards value, I immediately drop them down two ranks on a 10 point intelligence scale
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

Yet you see people still worship them at card shows... boggles the mind.

I don't disagree but ebay not allowing BINs for under $1 has then made every 2 cent card selling on ebay for $1 actually worth $1
