I'm liking my new common Dreck.

60 years old and have been collecting since I put Buffalo nickels and Lincoln penny's out of change in blue Whitman folders and this is my first ever 1909-S VDB (MS63RB). A looker to me and no spots. The obverse toning sparkles and the reverse is virtually full red. I couldn't take the scratches on the holder so I had it reholdered.

Common? Maybe a little. You're not likely to find one in change though. image

Everyone should probably own one of these at least once. This one looks nice. No ugly spots & a natural bit of toning.

It's always good to see more red than brown on a RB. Nice one.

Very pretty Lincoln. I almost didn't open this thread when I saw "dreck".

    This coin is NOT dreck.image

That's not dreck; dreck would have nasty carbon spots. That coin is a beauty!

I meant widget. I'm not derogatory term savvy.
  • Wow a 63, looks better than that. Very nice addition. I have yet to find one in all the unsearched rolls on ebayimage I may have cracked that one and sent it in raw to our host to see what happens as it is very nice looking.
