1957 Topps Raw Baseball Set 326/407 "High Quality", $2100 pick up at Nat Maz F Rob added

Up for your consideration is a very clean raw 1957 Topps partial set which includes 326/407 cards (80% of set). This set includes 22 stars/HOFers (most scanned), several minor stars semi-stars, rookie cards, Yankees/Dodgers, 8 low # team cards, 4 scarce series team cards, 57 scarce series commons, and 233 low # commons.

These cards have been hand-picked over the last 6+ years at many national shows, eBay, card shops, from personal collections, card websites, etc. I did not grade many except a few stars as it wasn’t worth the $ to do so and I prefer raw cards. I do believe there are several dozen NM quality cards which would be off-set with EX+ ones. I don’t think there are 8 NM-MT or better ones, but maybe I missed a couple.

The vast # of cards fall in the EXMT to EXMT+ range.

Surface: None of the cards should have a crease. My biggest focus was buying cards with good focus, bold “fresh” colors, and little or no print defects/lines.

Corners: Mostly sharp with tip touch or light (but even) corner wear. Very few “worn” or rounded corners.

Backs: Clean absent of stains or other major issues except where noted below.

Edges: Avoided edges with major dings/pinches.

Centering: In the last couple of years I focused on getting better centered cards especially L/R but did not finish this task. Below is a list of o/c and back minor-stained cards that I wanted to upgrade but did not get to. There might be a few more you would add to the list but also a few that I have listed that you might be fine with. These “o/c” cards are around 85-15.

Price: I would sell this partial set for $2400 dlvd via paypal regular or a litte bit cheaper if you want to meet me at the National on Thursday (can avoid paypal/shipping cost) or would pay with check/mo. If I cannot get this $ I would rather keep the cards or sell them individually.

Scans: Below is a scan of the minor stars which are representative of the other cards in the set. I can scan more cards to any highly interested potential buyer.

(Note: I also have 8 graded stars—about a grade lesser than these cards—and all off-grade checklists, contest cards, and lucky penny, + and EX oc F Robinson RC if you are interested in those, but these are not part of listed price above).

Price drop, $2200 dlvd or $2100 if picked up at the National. You can preview the set if you would like at the National on Thursday morning before the doors open...

Last shot, I've added one more centered card, 1 Maz RC in EXMT/NM slightly o/c (around 80/20), 1 Frank Robinson RC EX o/c. Cards book around $5K, and would take $2100 cash at the National....Many dealers would list this set as NM but I am finicky/honest about condition...Can't hurt to look at set and decide for yourself. I've looked at hundreds of auctions and only bought from an advanced collector's perspective... My guess is that if broken down set could sell for around $3K, JMO.
