Any comments regarding the color of the toning?

DE59, Can't sleep this evening with thunderstorms rolling thru, so I'd be happy to comment on your Barber. For me, the color is a toss up. I'm neither offended by it or excited about it. I see some muted luster, especially on
the reverse. The darkened D in UNITED is a distraction for me. The coin looks to be pretty well struck. I like it when all of the stars are struck up and not flattened. Just a little weakness on the arrow feathers on the reverse. JMHO

The coin has somewhat below average eye-appeal due to the patches of dark toning on the reverse. The remainder of the toning is average, not especially good or bad.

It is a coin that years ago I would have purchased but today would pass on due to the below average eye-appeal. I may seem to be a bit hard on this coin but it just does not excite me.

It also has another disadvantage; it is not slabbed. In today's market coins such as this that are not slabbed should be sold at a discount sufficient to cover the cost of slabbing.
    All glory is fleeting.

I like it...not my series and a few spots of toning that may be terminal, but it looks original to me image

Nice, but TPG'ers may question the toning

IMO, not AT. Would be interesting to see it in hand.

Interesting enough coin, however, I am not a fan of the Reverse.
As mentioned, the darkened area in the D in United, is enough to
make me pass. The Reverse upper left area looks stained, IMHO.

Other than that, it's a good example for a raw book, as I seriously
doubt it'll get into a numbered TPG holder.
