the venue was very nice. nice food and restroom accomodations. easy to get too. several dealers also sell at the chantilly show that i attend regularly.
the cards were a bit disappointing. quite a bit of vintage 60's and older. but for a "grading person" like myself , i had a hard time finding any gradeable stuff, from 1985 and back. most vintage would grade 5 or lower. i did pick up a few nice cards. 2 1979 ozzie's with above average centering, both for $50 total. a nice 1974 ryan for $25. a 1978 dorsett for $20. the best cards i bought were 1968's. a mays and carew. the carew is at least an 8 with perfect front centering and great back centering. the mays was exceptional. one of my best purchases ever. chance for a 10 in my opinion. the 1968's were $175 for both.
chantilly is a little bigger and better. i will try greensboro next. the promotor did a fine job.
