Highland Mint Hockey Coins Proof Set...anyone know about these?

Hello,

I few years back i bought a set of coins from a local guy. There were 8 players and each player had 3 coins, 2 of which were 1.5 oz silver each, the other bronze. He raved about how each set was matching serial numbered (04 of 150). He said he had a deal with a local hobby guy years back to be able to get him that number when each player came out.

Just seeing if anyone is familiar with these and if they are worth anything over the silver value. Each player is in a nice display case with a few documents saying the serial numbers and the proof set series of 150. I tried to get a photo but it was to large so ill figure that out here shortly i hope.

Thanks for the help!

  • I had some without the case - sold them for silver value back when it was $35/oz.
Today they may more collector value as silver has dropped significantly.
  • Yea, cant seem to find much to compare these to. I have found a couple single player sets, but not sure how much value the matching numbers add, if at all. They all have the nice display box and certs though. Guess ill just keep an eye out and see if i can ever come across another complete set.

    Thanks!
