Best $.50 I have ever spent

I was at a card show today and found a nice beater 71 Topps Munson in a dealer's .50 cent box. (Don't think he knew what he was doing) Too bad it's beat up, the centering is about as good as it gets. Not bragging about a beater card, just bored and wanted to post tonight.

Man, I would like to see that card 1 hour after it was made. It must have been a gem.
    Nice pick up.

I love that baseball card. Great find, Lee. Congratulations.

I've always loved that card. Thanks for sharing Lee. And thanks again for your help with my 1968 Yaz puzzle. I finished it today, which means I've finished 68, 69 and 72 Yaz puzzles. Scans tomorrow...
  • Thanks everyone. Glad other people appreciate the centering aspects of sports cards.

Dan: no problem on 68 Topps, glad we had smooth transactions. Looking forward to seeing the Yaz puzzles. (Honestly don't think I have ever seen it complete before)

Check this one out that I got in a larger lot that I purchased last month... my first '71 Munson. It was a very poor image when I bought the lot so I figured I would gamble. The centering is outstanding but when I noticed the crease I was a sad panda. I just sold the Munson for ten bucks, but still made out nicely breaking up the lot.

That is a great card too, maybe it's the scan but the crease isn't too bad on the front. Glad you made out on the resale.
