Authenticity/Grade - Sports Kings

I don't see any of the common red flags (other than it not being graded), but thought I would go for other's opinions.

I don't know a lot about this issue, but I know that the "bleed thru" is a good sign.

Dan, yes it is. The banner on the front and the back spacing look good to me as well.

Stingray, I was thinking a 5 with the PD and spotting, but a 6 would be great. Now I just hope I can afford it

Thanks for the confirmation guys! I'm always iffy getting these cards raw, but the seller and their other raw vintage all looked legit. I won it for less than $50 dlvd, so even adding grading fees and it ending up in a 2 slab, I'll be ahead a bit and had much nicer eye appeal than the last 2 that sold (and some of the 3s currently available).

The Jones looked like a '5', maybe even a '4'. I actually had a '5' that looked like a '7', so I know PSA is tough on the issue. The Hagen looks like a '1', maybe a '1.5'. Granted, this is PSA. SGC tends to be a little more lenient.

If so, it'll the nicest looking 1 I've seen of this card and I'll still be happy with the pickup.

You think that card had a shot at an 8? Seriously? I agree it's a tough 5, looks like a solid 6 if there are no wrinkles.

While 2 is my guess for a technical grade on the Hagen, you are correct that it has much greater eye appeal.

Larkin- I'm thinking 5 on your Jones and 1.5-2 on the Hagan. Amazing the Jones didn't meet the reserve at almost $3400.

Just to clarify, the Jones is NOT mine. I dropped out on the bidding on that one way below where it ended up. I'm still waiting for a pinhole gem on that one
