Going old school...

I recently bought this old Library of Congress folder for $3 at a coin show, and been slowly filling it up since. While these Walker dates aren't really scarce (except the 38-D), it's amazing how many cleaned/polished Walkers are out there! I'm trying to stick to decent VF/XF circulated pieces, so least it's somewhat of a challenge. Not sure why there is no space for the 37-P though. Anyone else do this for fun? It's a real contrast to the MS-66 short set I'm also working on.

I have a bunch of Library of coins albums, and really like their general presentation, but, much like the Grinch's heart, the coin ports seem to be three sizes too large!

The type set albums are ridiculous, some of the coins have a couple mm room to spin in.

You got the ladies edition folders with the larger hole. I have caught me wife more than once hammering state quarters or cents into folders.

Yeah, I have the LOC type albums and found the same thing. I was wondering if I just got a poor copy, but I guess I wasn't the only one. Though otherwise, I love the albums (just got to use care as the bindings don't always age so well).

I started my dansco set that way. I was able to obtain many of them at melt prices and I found a few nice AU's the same way. Good luck with your set. Fun project! Mine is almost done, so perhaps I could do it this way as well!
