breaking up mint sets to submit

I'm finding it real difficult to pull out the scissors
and cut up some sets that I have from the '50s '60s and '70s.
Some of these sets have clean well struck coins in them, but I
can't bring myself to cutting out one coin from a set.
what do you do with the remaining coins? anyone else come across this dilemma
and how did you deal with it?
I need some words of encouragement.

The lining in many of these sets contain PVC and will tarnish the coins. Almost
all 1968-P pennies are already destroyed or severely damaged. It can be pre-
vented with an acetone soak.
