Taking a page out of the Bob and CJ book of giving,
I donated 3000 baseball cards to a Coach's
Pitch youth baseball league coach for 6 and 7 year olds.
This coach gives out cards to each kid for doing
things throughout the game including making
outs. Each kid will receive up to 10 cards a game.
He will hand them out after each game.
Last Saturday was the first game and he gave
out some of the cards to each kid. He has 2 kids
on the team named Mike. Well, last night was
their 2nd game and one of the boys named Mike
came up to the coach before the game and told
him that he had mistakingly given the other Mike
some of "his" cards.
He then told him it should not happen again because
as he turned around, his mother had sewn his full
name on the back of his shirt. See coach, now you
will get it right.
What a nice story about a 6 year old. That is what
this hobby is all about.
