Just Collect - PACK RIP at National - Schedule

Last year, we had tremendous success with our vintage pack rip of a 1955 Bowman Football Pack at the National. Many board members were present to witness the opening and many others saw the subsequent video.
This year, we will be doing vintage pack rips from Thursday through Saturday. They will be taking place at our booth (521/620) and are open to anyone at the show to view. We will be posting the pack rip times next week as we get settled in at the show.
Tentatively, we have the following packs scheduled at 2:00 PM daily:
Thursday: 1972 Topps Football Wax Pack (1st Series)
Friday: 1968 Topps Baseball Cello Pack (PSA graded)
Saturday: 1958 Topps Football Cello Pack (PSA graded)
We welcome anyone at the show to stop by and enjoy the openings. We look forward to seeing you there and will follow up on this thread as we have definitive times for each pack rip.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Scott, could you post pics of the cellos here if you have in hand? Thanks, John

Oh no, Carnac is at it again.

I'd like to see '58 cello myself, mainly to see if it's worth me sticking around an extra day to see it opened!
<< <i>My guess is it is a series 4 cello as they are quite abundant on ebay from Fritsch

The whole point of the attraction is the suspense of which cards are in the pack, Moran! No spoilers! LOL!

<< <i>I have no ideal what you're talking about, cards were randomly pack at the whim of middle age housewives weren't they? >>
You are correct . . .
I keep fantasizing about all the '74 racks, cellos & wax that her delicate hands must have caressed (I mean handled) that year...but then again it might just be her tie

Who would ever think that the Chris Farley/Lunch Lady would be a turn-on??? But only when she's putting together 1974 wax/rack/cello/JCP Factory sets!
To be honest, no direction, but...

<< <i>DON! How the hell are you??????? >>
Doing just fine Doug. I thought I would check in and see how the unopened hobby is doing and it is indeed truly on fire!!!
Makes me somewhat sad that a few years back I sold off my beloved 1975 baseball racks to a fellow member on this board for roughly $190 each and some had HOF's showing. But I can't quite remember who that member was...
...oh that's right it was grote15...oh the humanity
Seriously though I'm doing fine and maintaining my dedication to physical fitness. I just received my last labs and I saw these: (Total) cholesterol- 117 Triglycerides- 66---now that's what I call all-star numbers!
<< <i>It's a Summerof68/Man with no Name sighting!!! >>
A man with no name--I think I like that....

Great job!!! Now you need to start playing hockey.
Btw, I was able to purchase one of your 1975 rack packs before Tim caught wind and cleaned you out.

<< <i>Here's another cool photo from 1974--with those same wax packs for sale on the aisle, among other issues..
>>
After thoroughly analyzing this photo I have determined it to be an authentic picture of grote as a child shopping with his mother.
This picture serves to confirm my long-held beliefs that grote has been a pack hoarder for quite some time--at least as early as 1974!!

<< <i>But Don ... all he has in his hand is a magic wand and some HI-C drink in the cart! >>
But if you look very closely you can see his bulging pant's pockets which are partially obscured by the cart--further evidence that his pack addiction had reached a level of criminality even at that tender age--I'm glad to see that he outgrew his transgressions
Little Timmy: Mom, we're going to need a bigger cart!

stupid print dots
<< <i>BTW, the '68T Cello is Series 4... >>
See, the almighty Carnac the Magnificent strikes again.
In all seriousness, that will be a fun rip. I believe there are 10 cards in that cello iirc.

We should be announcing an incredible pack ripping event very soon. I'm sure that many here will want to participate. It will bring back the old days of "Pack Wars!" We are hoping to announce this incredible event very soon, so stay tuned as we work out the final details...
OK . . . Just a hint . . . It will include up to 24 participants and involve 1981 pigskin. Once finalized, it will premier on our blog and hopefully be eligible to be posted here at CU.
