This '88-O displays an average strike for the date - slightly flat at the highest points, as typical. However the luster is comparable to what you'd expect to see on a much higher grade example. While the obverse is no better than MS63, the reverse offers more with exceptionally clean fields. In a generous grading scenario, this coin could grade MS64 by a net grade from the reverse being 65/66.


This '88 Philly displays a subtle yet attractive layer of toning, with some russet/amber hues visible near the rims. The coin appears to be a later die-state as evident by slightly obscured devices, as well as minimal die erosion.
