Beta page for the new ANA website is up.

link

Looks cool, dont like their forum at all. Gotta load the other sections to see them?

Badge thing is odd too. Too much like twitter/facebook when viewing profiles. I detest twitter and dont use facebook often.

Acts like beta too. I tried to build a collection as a test. Very onerous. And the editing function was broken. Other links did nothing. I finally gave up and deleted it.
    Lance.

Looks interesting. I'll need to try it out more to have an opinion.

The badges are interesting. I wonder how many can get the 1913 V nickel badge. I'd imagine it would be only for owners or ex-owners:

Don't need to have owned one.

    Requirements are:
•Create 5 blog posts utilizing tags that contain 1913 liberty head.
    •Create 5 forum threads.
•Post 5 messages in the forums.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Yeah, that has to go. They have to get all the forum categories on one page, hopefully with a minimum of scrolling. Lots of wasted space on the forum page.

With those requirements, it seems like it wouldn't be that hard to get.

I think it would be a cooler badge if you had to have owned one image
