Yes it is! There is a story behind nearly every card.

1948 Topps Johnson - bought raw on ebay; seems nice - grade is good or a little better than expected.
1909 Ogden's Johnson - another raw ebay purchase; I just like the card. I have a 5.5 so I'll keep the better looking one in my collection.
1991 Ideal albums - I had sent one in for my registry set and got a 6.5 - pissed me off
1946 Montiel Tillet - this guy was amazing in the 1940s - supposed to be the inspiration for the physical appearance of Schrek. Bought a couple raw.
E79 Johnson - bought raw on ebay and soaked it to remove paper on reverse. Great looking card, but some tiny back damage accounts for grade. I'll probably relpace my higher graded one with this and buy some beer with the proceeds.

Boxing seems to be a great deal right now - you can set low snipes on ebay and win a bunch. 1951 ringside is often less than grading on nice PSA 5/6.
