Submitting raw 1971 Topps baseball - faith restored

Thanks to cpettimd for the recent small group sub and allowing me to piggyback 10 1971 Topps raw back in May. Grades popped and cards received. All were purchased off ebay and the Willie Davis was a crackout of a 6.5 grade. One recolored and 2 PSA 6. The Oliver looked sharp and I thought could get a 9. So it goes. The rest were a very pleasant surprise. I noticed sizes differed compared to other slabbed 1971s my set and I feared Tolan and Jones would come back trimmed. I received the cards Monday and am considering going back to the ebay ungraded well. If anyone is interested in seeing scans I can post later. Grades are

I've got a few varied sized 71's, including a couple of Garvey's, that I have been sitting on - so your post gives me some hope on them too. Are you building a PSA 7 set?

I am all over the place - 3 9s, about 20 8.5s, 2 6s, 4 6.5s and the rest between 7 and 8. The registry has me at 7.5 even. I haven't really focused on a single grade, but once I complete it I have a feeling I am going to downshift to getting a well-centered PSA 7 set across the board.
