Does anyone know what happened to Alan Groseclose of Coin Carolina in Charlotte?
I have not seen him at his regular shows lately. Is he still in the business?

Good question because I too have wondered what happened to him. I've asked the dealers in the Carolinas and nobody there knows for sure either.

I've missed him at recent shows as well. He had built up a substantial inventory. I will ask around at the upcoming Blue Ridge show in north GA. Will share if I find out anything.

Shortly before he disappeared he was involved in one minor feud with another dealer. The issue was nothing major and could have been mitigated with him paying for dinner for two nights. It certainly wasn't anything severe enough to chase anybody completely out of the business.

I think he has migrated to ebay. I suspect he is Top Key Dates as he just recently seems to have joined the foray.

That fued was more than a minor deal but my lips are sealed!

I hate to hear that.
He was/is the the utmost in professionalism. He acted and even dressed like a professional.
Too many dealers wear blue jeans and T-shirts. In my opinion, one should look sharp in any business role if you want people to like you, think you are an expert in something and buy things from you ,whether it be coins or financial services.

That's a good point, but most dealers don't care if they make friends or sell anything....
