I used to love the charms, the root beer barrel, the fruity stripe gum. I could not stand the bit o'honey. I only ever tried it once - for about 3 seconds - yick.
On a semi-related note - I did like the Reggie bar - even if it did look like a cow flop.

Funny! I was just telling my kids about the GatorGum just yesterday. They love sour things. I remember that gum made your mouth pucker up after the first few chews. Loved that stuff!
Holy Crap! How did you pick only TWO? I was (and still am to a degree) a JUNK CANDY kid. I can honestly say that I ate all of the following on a pretty regular basis when I was a kid. THANK GOD my mom was the office manager in a Dental Office!!!
Jaw Breakers, Black Crows, Wax Whistle (my candy store usually carried them around Halloween), Candy Cigarettes, Chuckles, Bottle Caps, Wax Soda Candy, Good n Plenty, Good n Fruity, Candy Necklace, Circus Peanuts, Pixy Stix, Sweet Tarts, Planters Peanut Candy, Clark Bar, Charleston Chew and Raisinets. (The last three only when I had a lot of money, as they were 10 cents each as opposed to a nickle for the others.)
Thanks for sharing that page ... a stroll down memory lane for me!
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Brach's Royals were always a favorite when I was a kid. Also, Goetze's Pinwheels, Swedish Pipes (the large red ones), nickle packs of Topps cards and Ice Cubes (not the synthetic stuff they have now).
I like all of them except the charms!!!! Any Marine would probably tell you they hate those because they use to be in EVERY MRE ever handed out. Maybe I just hate that they make me think about having to eat garbage with a shelf life of 20+ years!
<< <i>Ice Cubes were the best, but I haven't been able to find any in the last 10 years or so.

Ice Cubes were great! They still sell them at Karl Ehmer, a German butcher shop.
And how politically incorrect were candy cigarettes, LOL! I remember faking blowing smoke with the chalky candy part.
