Cards that never were at the National...

Hey friends,

Many of you know that I'm a HUGE Bob Feller collector. Since I can't be at the National this year, I'm looking for someone who will be picking up the Bob Feller card that they're giving away to buy from or, if your heart should strike you, donate it to my collection.

PM me if you would be interested. Thanks!

Chris

I just saw in my email box that you get the whole set when you sign up for the Platinum level membership.

That is a great bonus! I would think they might run out with them being numbered to 500.

Well, almost a great deal. Like you, I got the e-mail and promptly re-upped at the Platinum Level just to get the set. Late this afternoon PSA added a disclaimer to the first post saying that the set was only available if you signed up for a membership . . . but . . . only at the Nat'l. Thanks PSA for a royal screwing! And thanks for another damn book I don't need or want!

The email seemed pretty clear to me that it was for the National only.

The email I got said you had to sign up at the National to get the cards. But I do agree about the book. I recently got that Cracker Jack Book. I think I got the same one last time but never really looked at either, they both went straight to a local thrift store.

The note about "only at the Nat'l" was a later revision to the first post.

I would call them up and request a refund and tell them why. It make take some diligence, but you may just have to go up the ladder until you get an answer. I would even threaten that you may do a back charge on your credit card.

I have to say that those "cards that never were" are very nice to look at.

Well, unless they hacked into my email and added this photo, the details about it being exclusive to the National is pretty clear.

I really like Chicles. On the football side, 35 Chicle is an important set. Baseball cards have a much longer history, so it was a nice surprise they chose these.

On that note, I would like to have seen them do cards of Jim Brown and Otto Graham, and maybe even Jim Thorpe in the National Chicle design.
