Yes it's sports, but oh yes it's gold. Was about 10 inches from it, behind glass. It was impressive to see.



DrB was sick and bloated that day, but I wasn't going to miss it.

I got to see it once in Houston, as part of an (amazing!) exhibit on gold.

In addition to the Jules Rimet trophy, the exhibit had an NBA championship, a Nobel prize, gold records, and all kinds of other incredible items, which I don't remember exactly.
