Topps 1968 Milton Bradley set

It is not my intent to resurrect any controversies about MB Ryan cards from prior threads. I thought I had a complete set of these until the author of this article pointed out I needed one more card, which he helped me get, the 2nd CL card. He also validated the fact that the Cox and Brinkman variations listed by many for the 68 regular Topps set are in fact MB cards. And he raises the question as to whether anyone wanting a master Topps 1968 set needs an entire MB set. Great article for those interested in the baseball set, or the related football and hot rod sets associated with the MB Game itself. Great job Carlton

edited---so far can not get link to post. It is from a current SCD article

No controversy involving this set. It is one of the hardest sets to decipher, hence the article. Even the so called "experts" really have no clue what they are looking for when they are looking at these cards. That is why it infuriates these "know-it-alls" - maybe they don't really know as much as they think.

I have a quote on my computer. You don't know ~what you don't know ~until you think you know something. Then you go wow ! I don't know as much as I thought i did.

    Thanks for sharing Al.

IMO this should not be considered for inclusion into a master set.
    Good for you.

Anyone who has a set already will probably think otherwise image

I will say that if the MBs are not considered part of a master set, that might argue for taking the Brinkman and Cox "variations" off the list as well .

Hope you are doing well Steve
