Master set registry question

Hi guys,
There are several different sports not in the big 4 that have their master player set registries under the Misc. Sports category. Those include boxing, soccer, track and field, etc. The master sets for the Misc. sports are typically equivalent to the super sets for baseball/basketball/football/hockey, in that the master sets for boxing and others include all cards for a certain player, including those issued well after the playing years. Does anyone here know why golf, which is listed under the Misc. category, does not have a consistent composition set of rules for inclusion as the other sports under Misc.? For example, Bobby Jones has both a basic set and a master set, but I can't add a card from 1992 to the master set because his play years ended in 1930, even though any of the other sports under Misc. would and do allow this type of addition into a master set.
