USPS.....Jeepers Creepers. NOT AGAIN

Sent some cards yesterday. Same process as always. Print the postage from PAYPAL. The 1 buyer is from Michigan. Last night I check and all items//I shipped 4 separate packages to different buyers at different locations. All seems well except the Michigan package was showing delivered status right away in Seattle. Has not changed today either. WTF. 3 weeks ago I had 2 packages not tracked whatsoever. Had to refund buyers. Seems like poor service more than someone stealing. Come on USPS....get the tracking straight. Frustrating.image

Not making excuses or defending them but they are short handed and it gets worse as people retire, transfer, or go on vacation-----they get no replacements and the good staff is feeling the pressure.

Buyer received his card in Michigan and left positive feedback. Tracking shows delivered in Seattle.....WTF. Unreal. What could possibly be the reason for that???
  • You are using the wrong tracking number.

How am I using the wrong # when it's automatically uploaded from PAYPAL???
  • Did you ship multiple items and switch the labels?

I printed the label from the PAYPAL site......it shows delivered in Seattle; but the guy actually did receive the card in Michigan. Seattle is where all of the 4 envelopes I sent went 1st...the 1st stop in their postal journey and then on to their destination. The package showed delivered in Seattle after like 3 hours of putting it in the mail box. All I can think of is....they scanned the envelope in Seattle by mistake as delivered and it still went on to it's destination of Michigan and never scanned in again...but delivered.

We scan everything we take in. The scan is the same process for all, and the default is "delivered". When I scan them I have to escape, then scroll up to "prepaid acceptance" then scan as normal. If a clerk forgets to move to "arrived at unit" or "prepaid acceptance" then you get what you got.

They've hired a lot of temporary clerks lately and they're getting little or no training. I could honestly tell you horror stories. Hopefully it's just temporary.

Anyway that's how that happens, and if the scanner is logged in at seattle it will show delivered at seattle. If the clerk doesn't catch it before it uploads, it's almost impossible to fix.
