    When it is a 1/1, the answer is simple. Someone wanted it that much.

    It amazes me when I see these really good, but non-HOFer's going for these prices. Unless it is for some registry collection the buyer is working on, I think it is way too much. But I guess we all have our play money, some more than others (me).

    There's a solid Detroit Tigers following as well. So combine that, Norm Cash being good and the fact that it's vintage OPC which is next to impossible...you end up with a huge number
    It never leaves you...

    Completely right, and I'm sure it was for somebody's set, which drives prices too.

    I'm fairly certain that same card sold for less than $100 recently.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
