    pretty cool, but wouldn't most of them have probably been like this with Gretzky on top at least?

    is it just me or does it look like they ground this thing against a brick around gretzkys stick? hopefully that's just the package and not actually on the card

    Yes, the only one's I've ever seen have had Gretzky on top and Messier on the bottom, however obviously I wasn't there when all of
    the packs left the Coliseum in Edmonton, or wherever they were printed/shipped.

    Interesting. I've owned a '79 Oilers set for years but wasn't aware they were originally packaged that way.
