Do These Dickerson RC's have a chance at a PSA 10?

Really tough card. One a little OC and the other has a tilt. Just pulled these from cut card case.

Thanks

Brian

I would say no on both.

I like the one on the left but that top left corner worries me.

Here are some cards for comparison. At first glance I thought no way and then looked through some that are listed and your card on the left is fairly close to the third card that graded a 10.

The one on the right I would think might have a hard time grading a 9 with the tilt but you never know.

Although the card has a noticeable left to right off-center feel to it, having fairly wide borders help qualify for a 10 more easily. I will measure the borders for you and let you know the ratio here in a few minutes. I agree with other assessment on the card to the right, tilt would be an issue.

The centering on the 10s dpeck linked too is better than either one of these. If I had to guess the grade, I would say PSA 9 on the left and PSA 8 or 8.5 on the right. I usually measure centering at top point of the inner box to the border, and there is a fairly significant disparity there in this case.

    Zero chance for either one.

When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Agreed, but the one on the left should be a nice 9.

Looks like the centering on the left one is 58/42. While technically still in the range for PSA 10... IMO, they grade HOF rookies tougher than most others. So probably not a 10, especially if the top left is touched at all.

No way with that centering/tilt. You can pull Dickerson rookies that present better from 84 packs pretty easily. That 84 design just screams OFF CENTER unless they're almost perfect.
