Watch out,

It looks like the date has been altered.

Edward VII dates wear down pretty easily. The numbers here have been reconstructed, IMO.

On the other hand, this one looks OK.

Any dissenting opinions?

    Good spot! That whole obverse looks fishy too. Cast?

    Looks like it is cast to me too. Look at all of the pit marks on the head side. Also in the lettering.

    The 9 looks very crudely done with the tail about three times the size it should be and terribly rendered. The five has at least three marks around the tail that look like re cuts or something off. Nice catch wybrit and thanks for the comparison photo as well.
