CardSaver I Thumb?

I'm laughing at myself just typing this, but...
I've noticed that when I sit down to open a bunch of packs and immediately load the cards into CardSaver I holders, the side of my thumb next to my nail gets raw and a bit painful after a while. I've started putting a piece of scotch tape around my thumb with the overlap in the back to prevent this. Does this happen to anyone else too and is there a more elegant solution?

Why not just go all the way and use Duct tape?
<< <i>Are card saver I slices much worse than card saver II slices? >>
Card saver II bleeding is worse. They don't open as wide because they're smaller, so there's more friction.

That makes sense. I've only ever used Card Saver I and IVs.
