Review question

Anyone send cards for review and one has a new slab but never bumped?

I'm thinking something was found when removed not seen through the slab.

Yes, has happened to several. Unfortunately my PSA 8 Ryan RC fits into this category. It was originally in the older holder with the numerical grade next to the descriptive grade. Came back in the new holder and new label but same grade. image I had about 5 out of 187 come back this way. You have the reason correct. I assume they thought it could bump and then reconsidered after viewing the card outside the holder. This makes me wonder about crossovers. I guess they just go ahead and slab it once they crack it out of the competitor holder. If you put a min grade, they have to slab it once they crack it so I assume they are very particular about what they crack out.
  • Isn't there some fine print about crossovers that says the card may come back to the submitter unslabbed for that reason?
