FYI, I'm happily married to a wonderful woman who is in a fight for her life against lung cancer, I don't have high blood pressure, and I am a veteran. The military teaches people to follow the rules, they are there for a reason. So I may be a little uptight lately.....

I don't have a problem with non-sense threads in the U.S. Coin Forum in general.

But I do when the person who started the thread moans and complains when others create non-U.S.-Coin-related threads.

How does that make sense? You can't do it, but I can...

Other forums would consider this trolling yet not so here- good or bad.

(Probably somewhere in-between, as the alternative is we simply only talk about coins and that would get boring pretty dang fast.)

point me to where I have done that recently and I will apologize if it will keep the peace. I admit that I have done as much in the more distant past but I had an Epiphany and no longer care, so I just ignore those threads for the most part. why do you and a few others who seem to be so very aggrieved by this thread keep popping it TTT??

I would ask two questions:
1.) why is this off topic since the intent was to cause the reader to make an inference?? that was done in a first page reply.
2.) why don't you start an interesting and thought provoking thread which attempts to discuss U.S. coinage?? I do more than my fair share of that and the threads typically get 10-15 replies while this thought provoking one word thread is on its fourth page in as many days.

draw from that what you will, but it tells me that members aren't very interested in discussing coins to the same degree as they are interested in relaxing and having fun while talking with other coin collectors. perhaps you and a few of the other aggrieved members should start a thought provoking thread about U. S. Coinage which would be very interesting to me.

it would be interesting because all the "group" tends to do is bellyache and that is boring. I choose fun, fun with coins and fun with coin collectors.
