Anyone know where these 70's team cards came from?

Team photos - white back card stock
I see they were also done in 1978 and 1979

Here is an example...

    Tom:

Topps had a mail-in offer where if you sent a wrapper and money to Topps, you would get a set of team checklists. I think there were perhaps 15 cards to a sheet? As I understand it from folks, the she would be folded so that there was a 3x2 panel of cards folded over the 3x3 panel of cards and it could be mailed in a 8.5 x 11 envelope.

The card stock was completely different. It was a thin white cardstock, closer to what topps started to use in the 90's for cards than the grey cardboard used for 70's Topps issues.

A collecting buddy of mine provided this comparison of the cardstock / color, which is pretty easy to see on the back:

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

    Great info!

    Thank you.

These must be difficult to find I would think and if found, I bet most are in off condition.

You can find them on ebay periodically. Columbia City Collectibles has a bunch, but they are pricy. I have a run from 75-82. Not sure why I never got any as a kid for BB, but I did get 1-2 years of football checklists. Not sure if they made them in different years or not, as I have not seen or looked for the other years. I picked them up as another unique Garvey variation item.

Here is a 77 Topps sheet on ebay now:

I collect Steve Garvey, Dodgers and signed cards. Collector since 1978.

I have the '81 sheet. I've considered having it framed.
