Who here knows how PSA decides which cards to grade first?

I know this is a topic that's discussed over and over again but I have to ask. How can PSA have a customer waiting in excess of 70 to 80 days and have another customer's order pop three days after its received when submitted via a special? Now that's based on recent posts on the board here but I've seen and heard that same story over and over here. Is there really no rhyme or reason behind the order in which they grade what they recieve? Should the specials have last priority while the quicker (and more expensive) services be given priority and be striven to be graded on time? Does anyone know why that happens?

<< <i>I have almost 60 cards down there at PSA for reholdering only and its taking FOREVER for just a simple reholder! PSA is not going to like deal8ng with me as I.will call every day until my cards arrive! They said reholdering only takes 5 business days to reholder from the day that they arrive! Sounds like PSA may need to.get more help as they have a serious backlog probably due to.4SC!!!!!! >>
I had some "mechanical errors" fixed recently and it took forever. What irritated me was the fact that originally I submitted them with the correct year of issue and PSA slabbed them with the wrong year. Sent them in to be fixed and took so long my set was incorrect when the awards deadline arrived. Not a big deal, but getting it right the first time would have saved both me and PSA a lot of time and trouble.

You may want to avoid dealing with companies starting with the letter "P." Panini and PSA have had your ire already this week. Hopefully it doesn't get to the point that you get upset about every company that has a letter in their name...

<< <i>it's been many years (probably 10) but the only time I was in the grading room was about '02 when Charlie, the CS rep at the time, gave me a tour. From what I saw there was a cart with boxes on it, and cards with paperwork in each box. A few graders got up from their cubicle, went over to the cart, poked around a bit, and grabbed a box to grade. Looked fairly random, but I can't imagine the same box gets passed over weeks at a time. >>
Anthony, did they have all the inventory out on a cart? I would be surprised if there wasn't a large safe where the bulk of the inventory is kept and rotated out to the cart. Maybe it's in the safe where boxes get passed over for weeks on end.
