So close to a 10, but just not quite there!!
  • I hate it when sellers do this and frequently report the item for search and browse manipulation.

Is it me not seeing properly or does he have the same 1966 Mantle up for 3 different auctions for three different prices (299.00, 100.00, and 795.00) and three different "appraisals" 400.00, 900.00+ and 900.00 plus but all with the same scan?

I asked him who appraised it. He replied saying a card store in San Diego said people would pay 400 for that in their store. I haven't heard back after telling him if that were true the owner of the card store should have bought it right there for 200.

Think he would accept an offer of $150?
I'm building a 1968 and a 1970 Topps set. I have lots of 1970s and 1960s to offer in trade.

Along the same lines, check out the listings by this seller. All his cards are OC qualifiers. Big surprise, the OC isn't in the item listing title or description. It gets better if you look at his descriptions where he assigns the appraisal values. A 1978 Ryan 9 OC he claims is valued at $550 instead of $10, and it goes on from there. Also love how he spams Mantle into half of his titles too for common Yankees. I called him out on the OC stuff in messages but he didn't reply. I guess his user name is appropriate, since he is fishing for suckers he can dupe. No luck with the reports I filed for keyword spamming getting his listings removed though.

Oops, I guess he did remove the "appraisal values" from his listings after my messages.
