RYK--always enjoy your posts and hope to continue to enjoy them. I am doing something similar, though I'm not as fully committed as you appear to be, and my transition will be much less abrupt. My focus has changed, however. I remain an avid collector, but it has surprised me that as I begin to focus more on the item mentioned above (act II), the more interest in actively pursuing coins wanes. I look at it as a positive thing, in that it keeps me in balance, and happy.

    Best to you.

After reading this thread for the last day or so, my comment is this....

Ive been high on this hobby before but it pays to be sober minded about my actions within it. I also see the hobby as a dimmer switch, sometimes it's all the way on and sometimes all the way down and places in between. The passion it take to be an advanced collector is hard to harness forever. Pretty cool really..... That it even happens at all.

image I immediately thought of B.B. King when I saw the thread title. I wish I could make my ES335 sound anywhere close to that.

The hobby will always be here and there will always be a place for people like RYK.

Your shoes won't be filled quickly.

I'm pleased you don't expect to be too far away.

Best wishes RYK as you shift gears.

I will always be grateful that you agreed to let me buy your A&R half. It is my favorite.

I think this would fall quite easily under the definition of "first world problems."
