    Hannah: PSA 6 OC
Upshaw: PSA 5 (or rejected for miscut)

The Hannah looks like a "5", I'm not too sure about the centering though...
    I will say 5

The Upshaw looks like a "7", but is OC or MC

The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

I was thinking the same thing. The corners and centering just kill that Hannah.

Hannah 3 both ways OC: (t/b) and back also ...corners not sharp
Upshaw 5 centering not great on both sides also

Also with a positive suggestion to Mr Dezhood

Post cards before you send in and ask advice.
If you put all the responses together you can get an idea of what you have.

I hope the cards you sent in are for sentimental reasons as you may lose $ on your sub.

  • Results?
  • Thanks for all the replies!

    1954:
    4 on both of them

This was correct because they count as 4s.

    otwcards:
    Hannah: PSA 6 OC
Upshaw: PSA 5 (or rejected for miscut)

I like this answer because it had one exact and the other close and I agree with analysis - cut looks bad.

    Actual:

    Hannah: PSA 6 OC
    Upshaw: PSA 6 ST

I graded them for this set: Team 75 Years

In all honesty, I'm running out of steam a little bit on the set (I'm going to finish it and then sell most of it). I bought the cards on COMC - thought they looked like 5s and as you can see 5s fit my collection (my eye did find a PSA 6 Mackey rookie and PSA 7 Matt Snell rookie in same sub - all 4 COMC cards were cheap). And the Hannah is one of those cards - big pain to find without a lot of surface snow on his hair/forehead so I was ok with this one - the set does have centering issues. The Upshaw is crazy - I hadn't looked at the image in forever because I had the card in hand - with the really white borders and decent corners I never noticed it looks trimmed! I doubt it though probably just MC. This is my second card (Earl Campbell rookie) with a random "ST". Anyone see it? I have good vision and a cheap magnifying glass - I don't see anything. Could it be they meant "MC"?

Thanks for replies - this was fun - I used a website called "Minus" to post the images - pretty cool.

Tiny bit of ST in the right side yellow border? Doesn't seem like enough to get a qualifier. Is there wax residue on front that's not visible in the scan? FWIW, I was going to guess 5OC & 6OC.

BTW, nice Bronko Chicle and looks like a fun set to put together! I'll see if I have any spares of the 72/74s you still need.

I saw that little mark on the right side, but I agree doesn't seem like much - most cards have something like that. Wax residue... I thought same - under magnification I do see a faint circle between his left hand and the ground - so I wondered about that. I wish for "MK" and "ST" they would provide an explanation.

Thanks - the Nags will always be the highlight of my collection. After looking at lots of beat up 2s, to make a deal on a 3 I liked really felt good.

Definitely PM me if you have anything I need. The Ray Guy doesn't come around much and when it does it auctions well. I'm guessing with the HOF induction demand is greater than supply right now.
